Sexual Harassment for Non-Supervisors
SB1343: Sexual Harassment Prevention for Non-Supervisory Employees
As part California S.B. 1343 all County of Santa Barbara's non-managerial employees are required to take a 60-Minute Sexual Harassment Prevention Training before January 1, 2020.
The S.B.1343 training will take place online starting late summer 2019 and ending January 1, 2020. This course will guide employees through key federal discrimination and sexual-harassment laws, relate these laws to everyday workplace behavior, and provide the legal definitions of discrimination and harassment.
Employees will learn about sexual harassment, discriminatory behavior, and types of conduct that create a hostile workplace. The course engages employees and confirms their understanding of the course material through video scenarios demonstrating forms of harassment, quizzes and a final test.
The S.B. 1343 training must be completed no later than January 1, 2020 to comply with the state's requirement. Please stay tuned for more information regarding this training topic.
