Sexual Harassment for Non-Supervisors

SB1343: Sexual Harassment Prevention for Non-Supervisory Employees

As part California S.B. 1343 all County of Santa Barbara's non-supervisory employees are required to take a 60-Minute Sexual Harassment Prevention Training every two years.

The S.B.1343 training takes place online and is assigned by County HR. The course guides employees through key federal discrimination and sexual-harassment laws, relate these laws to everyday workplace behavior, and provide the legal definitions of discrimination and harassment.

Employees will learn about sexual harassment, discriminatory behavior, and types of conduct that create a hostile workplace. The course engages employees and confirms their understanding of the course material through video scenarios demonstrating forms of harassment, quizzes and a final test.
