Employee Relations Division

We strive to establish and maintain positive and productive relations with employees and labor organizations throughout the County. Our core work includes:

  • Programming and outreach in Diversity, Inclusion, and Equal Employment Opportunity; 
  • Negotiating terms and conditions of employment;
  • Monitoring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and other terms governing employment;
  • Providing advice to management on employee and labor relations matters;
  • Offering training to supervisors and managers;
  • Conducting investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, and workplace misconduct;
  • Administering County Civil Service Rules.
