Eastern Goleta Valley Community Plan Update
The Eastern Goleta Valley Community Plan (EGVCP) updated the 1993 Goleta Community Plan (GCP) for Eastern Goleta Valley with the advice of the Goleta Valley Planning Advisory Committee (GVPAC). The new Community Plan for Eastern Goleta Valley is consistent with the community's vision for the next 15 to 30 years of land use planning. The 1993 GCP remains effective in, and applies to, the western portion of the Goleta Valley Planning Area.
The GVPAC held 39 public meetings, five plan review subcommittee public meetings, two public workshops, and one public van tour, and advised County staff during the EGVCP project. Committee members were residents, property owners, and business owners within Eastern Goleta Valley (or Zone 2 of the Goleta Valley Planning Area), and were representative of the community, diverse in geographic areas, professional affiliations, community segments, and interest groups. The Committee received community input, developed Community Plan goals, and reviewed and commented on the Draft EGVCP
The Plan was
adopted by the Board of Supervisors in October 2015.
