Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System Waiver (DMC-ODS)
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has approved California's Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS) Waiver amendment which provides a continuum of care modeled after the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria for substance use disorder treatment services. A copy of the approved Waiver Terms and Conditions can be found here: Waiver Terms and Conditions.
Participation in the waiver is voluntary. In order to prepare and assess the County's readiness to operate as an organized delivery system, Santa Barbara County is in the process of developing an Implementation Plan for submission to the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).
