Restaurant Inspection Results
The primary goal of the Santa Barbara County Environment Health's Food Safety Program is to prevent the occurrence of food-borne illnesses through regulatory and educational efforts with restaurants, markets and other retail food facilities.

Retail Food
Our food safety program helps to protect the public from food-borne illnesses. Environmental Health Services staff conduct routine inspections of all food facilities and respond to complaints with immediate investigations.

Temporary Food Facility
California law requires the organizer of any event where food is available to obtain a permit from Environmental Health. Additionally, all vendors (both for-profit and non-profit) authorized to be at the event must have a Health Permit issued from Environmental Health.
