Cannabis Licensing
On February 27, 2018, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors adopted a series of ordinances that regulate commercial cannabis operations within the County's unincorporated area. The ordinances categorize cannabis operations into eight permit types, and allow each license type in certain zones throughout the County's unincorporated area.

Legislative Program
The Legislative Program Committee considers and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on State and Federal legislation.

Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Subcommittee
The Board of Supervisors Ad Hoc Subcommittee on Santa Ynez Valley Band of Chumash Indians Matters was created for the purposes of engaging in discussions between the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors and members of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians regarding land use issues, as well as financial matters of mutual concern.
