Pre-Retirement Workshops
PLANNING TO RETIRE WITHIN
FIVE YEARS?
SBCERS hosts Pre-Retirement
Workshops for our members who are planning to retire in the next
two to five years. The 3-1/2 hour workshop includes presentations
by representatives from the Social Security Administration and Great West
Deferred Compensation, as well as information about the retirement
process and your benefits from SBCERS.
Please note
that a reservation (and an estimated retirement date) is required
to attend the Pre-Retirement Workshop. Reservations must be made 7 days prior to the workshop date, in order that we may provide
you with a personalized estimate of your benefit. To make a reservation,
please call Thomas Bignell at 568-2940.
2008 Pre-Retirement Workshops
are scheduled as follows:
- Wednesday,
March 5, 2008, Santa Maria, 1 – 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday,
May 1, 2008, Santa Barbara, 8:30 a.m – 12 noon
- Wednesday,
September 10, 2008, Santa Barbara, 8:30 a.m – 12 noon
- Thursday,
October 9, 2008, Santa Maria, 1 – 4:30 p.m.
All workshops
will be held in the Board of Supervisors' Hearing Rooms.

In Santa Barbara - on the 4th floor of the County Administration
Bldg. located at 105 E. Anapamu Street
In Santa Maria - at the County's Betteravia Center located at 511
E. Lakeside Parkway
