Traffic Engineering Committee (TEC)

What we are about?

The Traffic Engineering Committee (TEC) is an advisory committee to the Board of Supervisors composed of representative of the State Transportation Agency, California Highway Patrol, Emergency Services, County Sheriff, Local Transit, Local Schools, Bicycle Coalition, Public Works, Automobile Club of America, and the traffic engineer for Vandenberg Air Base. The committee was established in 1963 to investigate and make technical recommendations to the Board of Supervisors regarding transportation issues within the unincorporated areas of the County. Items reviewed at the Traffic Engineering Committee include; speed zones, intersection control, speed humps, and other transportation issues.
