Metadata elements shown with blue text are defined in the Federal Geographic Data Committee's (FGDC) Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Elements shown with green text are defined in the ESRI Profile of the CSDGM. Elements shown with a green asterisk (*) will be automatically updated by ArcCatalog. ArcCatalog adds hints indicating which FGDC elements are mandatory; these are shown with gray text.
These points are a graphical representation of recorded monumentation activity, filed as Official Corner Records.
The corner record shapefile was created to provide a spatial index for corner record documentation.
Corner Records point symbology was created to depict the monumentation activity of the site vicinity that is recorded on the official document. An individual point references possible set / found tags within a radius of 50-100 feet. Some Official Corner Records reference several intersections or areas farther apart then the 50-100 foot radius. In these instances another point is represented to indicate the monumentation that is included in the same official document, but goes beyond the scope of the 50-100 foot radius. In this case the point is identified as the same Corner Record #
