Construction on the San Jose Creek bike path has ramped up over the past week. The community will notice an increase of construction vehicles and activity in the area for the next couple of months, and construction is expected to be complete by January 2018. Workers are clearing trees and moving dirt to make way for the 970-foot long Class I bike path between Kellogg Avenue and Merida Drive near Cathedral Oaks Road. The bike path will also include a 140-foot bridge over San Jose Creek.Removed trees will be replaced post-construction with native species that complement the riparian environment. Impact on traffic will be limited and both the Kellogg Tennis Courts and University Circle Open Space will remain open. Anyone with questions about the project can call (805)681-4990.
