Public Works GIS Internship Program

Our Public Works GIS Internship Program provides opportunities for participation in our departmental GIS projects. Currently our program is in partnership with the University of California, Santa Barbara where students from the Geography Department receive credit in exchange for dedicating hours to Public Works GIS projects.

Geography Students who participate in our Public Works GIS Internship Program, get experience using the latest GIS technology. Students gain insight in how to deploy GIS solutions for local government, while developing valuable technical skills.

GIS projects are specialized to the different organizations within our department, and activities include environmental, hydrologic, transportation, utility, and surveying applications.
