The Planning and Development GIS Team developed a number of maps to help staff assist residents affected by the Tea Fire in the unincorporated areas of Santa Barbara County. They are now being made available to all on our Maps and Imagery page.
 
Environmental Documents Republished
The Environmental Thresholds and Guidelines Manual and County Guidelines for the Implementation of CEQA documents have been republished to included recently adopted amendments by the Board of Supervisors. (more information)
 
Goleta Community Plan Update
The Office of Long Range Planning encourages the public to attend the Goleta Valley Planning Advisory Committee Meetings. Agendas and meeting materials are available on the GVPAC webpage: http://longrange.sbcountyplanning.org/planareas/goleta/gvpac.php
 
Draft amendments to Chapter 25 of the County Code.  Proposed changes to the Petroleum code include the addition of Section 25-43 (Remediation of High Risk Operations) and related definitions.
 
The County is currently preparing an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Santa Ynez Valley Community Plan update. Information regarding the Santa Ynez Valley Community Plan and Environmental Impact Report can be found on the EIR webpage.
