Goleta Design Guidelines

The unincorporated eastern Goleta Valley region of Santa Barbara County is well-known for the scenic beauty of its mountains, seascapes and the expanses of its open spaces. Because of the importance of the area's visual character, guidelines are being developed to help maintain the high quality of Goleta Valley's neighborhoods.

The purpose of the Design Guidelines is to maintain the high quality of Goleta Valley's neighborhoods by developing reasonable, practical, and objective guidance to assist residents, home-owners, and designers in identifying the key building characteristics and components that define the character of a neighborhood which can be used as a guide in designing new or remodeled single family homes
