California's Cancer Detection Program for Women
Every Woman Counts

Tri-Counties Cancer Detection Partnership, serving Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties, is the regional contractor and local administrator for the state of California's cancer detection program for women, now known simply as Every Woman Counts (EWC). 

 

Clinical Services

 

EWC provides free breast and cervical cancer screening and early detection services to program eligible women through participating local primary care physicians, specialists, mammography centers, and hospitals.

 

Who is eligible for Every Woman Counts? 

 

A woman 25 through 39 may be eligible for cervical cancer screening services and a woman 40 years or older may qualify for both breast and cervical cancer screening services, if she meets the insurance and income criteria below.

  • A woman who is uninsured (who has no private or public health insurance) or underinsured, whose insurance does not provide breast or cervical cancer screening services.
  • Has an income no greater than 200% of the federal poverty level

 

Pre-Qualify and Find a Provider

 

The California EWC Program Helpline can determine if a woman qualifies and send her the names of primary care providers in her area. Call tollfree, 1-800-511-2300,  Monday - Friday for assistance in English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, and Vietnamese.
