Camping at Cachuma Lake

Tent, Trailer and RV Camping
All single family campsites are first-come first-served. More than 400 campsites, 100 with full electrical, water and sewer hookups, and 30 with electrical and water hookups, can accommodate any size RV. Each campsite contains a picnic table and fire ring, with showers, restrooms and water nearby. An RV dump station is also available. View Detailed Camping Maps.

Yurt Camping
Yurts provide a camping experience with homey comforts. A cross between a tent and tepee, the yurts at Cachuma Lake feature platform beds to sleep 5 to 6, lockable door, inside lighting and heating, and screened windows in the wood and fabric siding. Set on the bluff with access to the lakeshore, the view is spectacular.

Currently there are only 3 Yurts at Cachuma Lake, which may be reserved year-round up to 6 months in advance. Fees range from $60-$70 per night depending on yurt size. * A non-refundable $15 reservation fee will also be charged, and all reservations must be secured with a credit card. There is a 2-night minimum stay for weekends (Friday and Saturday), and a 3-night minimum stay for all major holidays. Group Area Camping
Group areas may be reserved for groups ranging in size from 32 to 120 people. Group areas may be reserved up to six months in advance.

Each group area contains enough picnic tables to seat the whole group, a food preparation table, a large adjustable barbeque grill, a large fire ring, and a water faucet. Some also have electric lighting fixtures and an electric outlet. One group area, Apache Pines, has 13 RV pads each with its own water and  electrical hookups, fire ring and  picnic table, in addition to all the above amenities. * Two-night minimum reservation on weekends (three-night minimum on holiday weekends.) A $25 non-refundable reservation fee is required at the time the reservation is made.

Cabin Rentals

Reservations can now be made for an alternative-style camping experience at Cachuma Lake Recreation Area. Central Coast Cabins offers private and convenient accommodations with three one-bedroom cabins and a new two-bedroom cabin all equipped with electricity, full bathrooms, kitchenettes, living rooms, private porches, picnic tables and fire pits. For your convenience, kitchenettes are fully equipped for cooking and serving. Simply pack your sleeping bags/bedding, pillows, towels/toiletries and groceries. Your effortless vacation begins the moment you arrive at your cabin.

Cabins may be reserved year-round and up to one year in advance. Rental rates range from $135 to $210 per night based on cabin selection and season. A non-refundable $15 reservation fee will be charged at the time of reservation, and all reservations must be secured with a credit card. Trailer Rentals
Camping just took another turn toward comfort at Cachuma Lake. For those of you who love the outdoors and enjoy a little more comfort and convenience you can now have a luxurious, fully-equipped vacation trailer delivered right to your campsite! Vacation Trailers 2 U does all of the set up for you! Including parking, leveling, hook-ups, dumping, and hauling! They even meet you at your site to provide you with a full orientation of your trailer!

All of Vacation Trailers 2 U trailers are beautiful, brand new 2010 models that include deluxe features such as generators, slide-out rooms, air conditioning, push button awnings, and full kitchen and baths!. In addition, all trailers come fully-stocked with pots and pans, dishes, utensils, coffee makers, toasters, BBQ tools, and more! Some even have flat screen TVs with DVD players! All you need to do is make a reservation, pack up your bedding, linens, food, and personal items and show up!

Vacation Trailers 2 U rental pricing is all-inclusive; there are no extra delivery or setup fees or sales tax. The fees range from $200-$250 per night, depending on the size of the trailer. There is a two night minimum for standard stays and a three night minimum during holiday periods. After the third night, the rates drop to $150.00 per night. Recreation Facilities
You'll find a fully stocked general store, gas station, coin laundry, and hot showers. Great care has been taken to make our facilities accessible to everyone. Children's playgrounds, lake cruises, the nature center, fishing piers, and hiking trails await you and your family. The Marina is open year-round and sells bait and tackle, fuel and fishing licenses. It also boasts a terrific snack bar & grill. The Family Fun Center includes a swimming pool, video games, miniature golf, and snack bar, and is open daily during the summer.

Dogs
We ask all dogs owners to bring current copy of proof of rabies vaccination. Dogs are required be on a leash of 6 ft. or less and are not allowed within 50 ft. of shoreline nor in a boat. Dogs are not to be left unattended at any time and owners must clean up after their pets. Vicious or very noisy animals will not be allowed.  $3.00 per day per dog.
