The Santa Barbara County Park Foundation is a private non-profit organization to support and enhance our county's heritage of parks and open spaces. This tax-exempt entity is designed to supplement public funding with the private donations and volunteer efforts of our community.

Our Parks
Since 1890, Santa Barbara County has offered an enormous variety of beautiful outdoor spaces for public enjoyment. Whether you seek to host a camping cookout, a causal company picnic, or a choreographed wedding atop a panoramic sea cliff, along a cozy stream, in a cool redwood grove, on a sandy beach or lakeside, any scenario is possible in one or more of our county parks.
Get Involved
There are many ways to get involved with the Park Foundation.
- Volunteer for work on park projects or clean up days.
- Adopt a Tree or Sponsor a Bench in commemoration or celebration of an event or loved one.
- Donate to the Foundation at different capacities and become a member.
- Join the Board of Directors or the Advisory Committee to help guide the foundation itself.
Volunteering
The Park Foundation is always looking for assistance on one of the many projects we are currently involved in. A list of these projects is available for your inspiration.
In the coming months volunteers will be able to access an Online Volunteer Calendar that will provide the dates and times of upcoming clean up days, horticulture opportunities, and park events for which they can offer their time. Adoption and Sponsorship
Among its many services and endeavors, the park foundation facilitates the adoption and sponsorship of park features including trees, benches and picnic tables. Your gift may be in commemoration or celebration of a special event or treasured loved one, and will serve as a splendid contribution to your community at large. Please contact us for more information.
