Independent Living Program

♦The Independent Living Program (ILP) is designed to help youth make the transition into a productive and successful adult life.

♦All youth aged 15 ½ and older who are in Foster Care placement care, are eligible to participate in ILP workshops, classes, special events, tutoring, field trips and other services.
♦ ILP works with youth to prepare them for a successful life after emancipation as well as ensures success by working with youth until they reach the age of 21.
♦ILP case managers are available for the entire county and are conveniently located in Santa Barbara, Lompoc and Santa Maria

How can I become part of ILP?

You have the RIGHT to ask your social worker or probation officer to refer you to the Independent Living Program.
