NURSING
IN PUBLIC HEALTH

The Public Health Department offers nursing professionals a variety of assignments, career choices, and a rewarding environment to further develop or enhance their skills. We hope you will consider a career with the Public Health Department and join us in providing high quality patient care to our diverse community.

The Public Health Department (PHD) has approximately 600 employees and provides combined public health and primary care services. We employ nearly 100 nurses in many different programs and in different job classifications. The County does not operate a hospital. Instead, we operate outpatient services within six community health clinics and promote health and disease prevention for the community.

CAREER OPTIONS:

Your career can soar from direct client/patient care to administration and management. Take a look at what we have to offer.
