How to Apply for a County Job

Submit a completed application form, along with answers to any "supplemental questions" associated with that particular opening. Application forms may be obtained in any of the following ways:

On Line: After reviewing a job listing on our Current Job Openings page, select the link to fill out our on-line application, or complete our on-line request form. A full application packet will be mailed to you.

In Person: Visit any of the County offices and request an application packet.

The Human Resources Department only accepts applications for employment during an announced recruiting period for the specified jobs.

Complete a separate application form for each job. A resume cannot be accepted in lieu of an official application form.

Fill out the application completely and clearly show that you meet the employment standards. All statements are subject to investigation and verification.

If you do not appear to meet the requirements, you will be notified by mail. Normally, this notice is sent within 10 days of the final filing date. If you receive this notice but think you meet the requirements and your application should have been accepted, please contact the Human Resources immediately. If your application is accepted, you will receive an invitation to an examination.
