2008-09 Health Insurance Plans & Premiums

In April 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved the contracts with Aetna and Kaiser Permanente for medical plan services including premium rates for an 18 month term. The 18-month term was chosen in order to enable the County to transition to a calendar plan year.

The Health Plan Open Enrollment Announcement for July 2008 has the current plan descriptions of all the new Aetna and Kaiser plans, premium rates (through December 2009), and much more.

Premium Rates - All medical and dental plan premium rates will remain in effect until December 31, 2009 (18 months) to transition the County to a calendar year enrollment cycle.
