On-site Employee Health Clinics

The On-site Employee Health Clinics are now open and scheduling appointments. At both clinics, employees will be able to access primary health care from a nurse practitioner supervised by a local physician, and assist you with managing chronic medical conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.

In order to access the clinic it is important that have taken the Health Risk Assessment (HRA). If you did participate in the HRA and have received your results, you are encouraged to call to contact the Employee Health clinic to schedule your appointment. If you have not yet taken the HRA please call the clinic to schedule your HRA.

To schedule your appointment for the Santa Barbara clinic please call (805) 681 4700 or just dial ext. 4700 during the hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Employee Assistance Program Training - Come see what the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers you! All employees enrolled in County medical plans (and their dependents even if not on a County health plan) are covered under this program, which is provided by Managed Health Network. No pre-registration is required, just mark your calendar and show up. For more information click here

Important Reminder for FSA Debit Card Use - Please remember that if you receive bills or statements for expenses for services that were provided prior to January 1, 2009, you should pay out-of-pocket and submit a paper claim for reimbursement of the expense. Under IRS regulations, your FSA debit card may not be used to pay for expenses when the date of service occurred during a previous benefit plan year.

ADP Health Care Debit Cards for Family Members - If you need an additional card, you can now obtain one by completing the form posted on our Flexible Spending webpage.

Aetna's Evidence of Coverage Booklets are now available online for all medical plans. These booklets contain the full description of your Aetna health plan's benefits. To access your plan booklet, just login to www.Aetna.com If you don't have a User Name + Password, just click on "New to the Site? Register Now" to get one. You should also be receiving a post card offering to send you a hard copy if you want one.

Commuter Pre-Tax Transit Limits Increased to $230 Per Month - For employees that are currently taking advantage of the pre-tax commuter benefit for transit bus or vanpool expenses, this now means that all of your deduction amount for these expenses will be a pre-tax deduction, thus increasing your net pay. This change will be implemented in the payroll system for purchases of their April passes without the need to make any changes to their ADP transit request. Employees using the ePurse option with the Vista bus can now increase their purchase to the new limits and retain the pre-tax deduction benefit.

Aetna Vision Discounts - Aetna’s health plans now include coverage for vision refraction exams through your primary medical group. In addition to the covered exam, Aetna’s vision discount program can provide discounts on vision products at selected stores. For more information, <click here>

Help to Quit Smoking in Santa Barbara - County employees are eligible to participate in free smoking cessation classes funded by the Tobacco Prevention Settlement Program. Monthly classes are held monthly in Santa Barbara & Santa Maria and every other month in Lompoc. Free or reduced cost medications are also available subject to income limits. New Innovative Online Tools from Aetna designed to help potential members explore the value and capabilities of Aetna’s "members-only" secure online tools, such as the Aetna Personal Health Record and our cost of care capabilities.

INTERESTED IN COMMUTER BENEFITS? - Want to save money on your daily commute? If you're commuting by transit bus, rail or vanpool, your expenses can be payroll deducted pre-tax up to $115 per month including a $10 monthly County contribution. Check the Commuter Benefits flyer for more details. Enroll with ADP FlexDirect by the 5th of any month (9:00 p.m.) to sign up for a pass for the following month. Transit orders received after the 5th of the month will be used for the next month.

Ventura Vista E-Purse option now available. You can now select E-Purse on the ADP Flexdirect website. Please note you must have a GoVentura Smartcard distributed by VCTC before you can order from this Transit Authority through this program. If you already have a card please proceed with your order. If you do not have a card, it is necessary to obtain a card from the Transit Authority before ordering.
