Economic Recovery Act Information

 

General Information

On February 25, 2009 HUD posted on its website the amount of funds that will be allocated to states and localities through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).  HUD's website provides details on funds that will be provided for programs administerd by HUD.

 

Community Development Block Grant - Recovery (CDBG-R)

The County of Santa Barbara received notification from HUD on August 25, 2009 that $542,154 in CDBG-R funding has been approved for the following projects:

  • Women's Emergency Shelter Rehabilitation, sponsored by the County of Santa Barbara
  • Foster Care Home Rehabilitation, sponsored by the County of Santa Barbara
  • Infrastructure Reconstruction Project, sponsored by the City of Lompoc

Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP)

The County of Santa Barbara received notification from HUD on August 29, 2009 that $829,013 in HPRP funding has been approved for the following projects:

  • North County Rapid Re-Housing and Homeless Prevention Program, sponsored by a collaborative comprised of Good Samaritan Shelters, Inc., Catholic Charities, and The Legal Aid Foundation
  • South County Rapid Re-Housing and Homeless Prevention Program, sponsored by Transition House and Casa Esperanza
  • Legal and Mediation Services Program, sponsored by the Legal Aid Foundation and Rental Housing Mediation Task Force
