Registration - Fees - Eligibility

If you are a first time student, complete the on-line EU Master Enrollment Form. This is a one time application process and is required of all participants.

| Step 2: |
Complete the EU Class Registration Form. Make sure to secure appropriate approvals, signatures, and account numbers (fund, dept., line item, and program). Insufficient information will delay the processing of your registration.

| Step 3: |
Fax the class registration form to the EU at ext. 1741 (692-1741). You will receive an email confirmation.

Social Services and Fire Department employees must complete the class registration form then forward the form to Alma Janabajab (DSS) or Diana Yanez (Fire) for processing. They will forward the form to the EU.
Always check your email messages for registration confirmations, reminders, or updates/changes to classes.

County departments pay the following fees for general (non-extension) classes:
- Half-day class (4 hours or less) $25 per employee
- Full-day class (over 4 hours) $50 per employee
Outside organizations, such as cities, special districts, and non-profits pay the following fees for general (non-extension) classes:
- Half-day class (4 hours or less) $50 per employee
- Full-day class (over 4 hours) $75 per employee
Extension courses (no academic credit):
Most extension courses are free to County employees. External agencies will be charged $15 per employee for all classes. The fees for extension classes may vary and will be listed on the course schedule. Check the course schedule for specific information or call the Training Coordinator at x1743 (692-1743).

EU courses are open to all County employees – regular, ordinance, extra-help, and contractors on payroll. Employees must have their supervisor’s approval to register for every class.
If you work for an external organization, such as a city, special district, or non-profit, you may qualify to participate in our training program. Some of our partners include the Santa Barbara County Education Office, Santa Barbara County Superior Court, the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District, and the Trinity Church of the Nazarene. Your employees can attend classes at the EU training centers in Santa Barbara or Santa Maria, or we can offer on-site, customized services.
