Protects pregnant employees from being forced to

Provides that employees who have worked 12 months

up to 12 weeks leave during any 12 month period for

has a serious health condition; or serious health
condition of employee.

point for employment-related and training services for
adults, dislocated workers, and youth. |
California
Family Rights Act 1993
|
The California Family Rights Act (CFRA) was established
to ensure secure leave rights for the following: birth
of a child for purposes of bonding, placement of a child
in the employee's family for adoption or foster care,
for the serious health condition of the employee's child,
parent or spouse and for the employee's own serious health
condition.

This law provides protection from harassment or discrimination
in employment because of: age (40 and over), ancestry,
color, religious creed, denial of family and medical care
leave, disability (mental and physical) including HIV
and AIDS, marital status, medical condition (cancer and
genetic characteristics), national origin, race, religion,
sex and/or sexual orientation.
