Are you looking for a job, or a better job? We have resources to help you: online, in person, or one-on-one with a case manager.
Visit the CalJOBs website for useful information and tools for both job seekers and employers—such as labor market information, career exploration information, resume writing assistance, job posting and recruitment services; and many other enhanced web-based resources.
Or visit us in person at our One-Stop Workforce Resource Center (WRC). The WRC is a partnership of public, non-profit and community-based organizations. Our mission at the WRC is to provide training, education and employment services for job seekers and employers in a single, customer-friendly system. The WRC is open to any member of the public, with convenient locations in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria:
- Santa Barbara: 130 E. Ortega St, phone (805) 568-1296, M-F 8am-5pm
- Santa Maria: 1410 S. Broadway, phone (805) 614-1550, M-F 8am-5pm
We also offer case management, career counseling and training through the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) program. If you qualify—and you're willing to make a serious commitment to the program—you may be able to receive comprehensive assessments, career counseling, and referrals or funding for occupational training, on-the-job training, and skill upgrades or re-training. WIOA services are provided through the WRC system, and overseen by a 29-member Workforce Development Board (WDB) of local business and community leaders.
