Santa Barbara County Counsel provides legal services to:

• The County of Santa Barbara and the Board of Supervisors
• Elected County Officials and County Departments
• Various other local governmental agencies, including:
  • Schools, 
  • Public Colleges, 
  • Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG), 
  • Santa Barbara Air Pollution Control District (APCD), 
  • Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) and 
  • Beach Erosion Authority (BEACON). 

        Under County Counsel Daniel Wallace, our staff of 28 attorneys provides all civil and general law functions for these agencies. We also provide information to the public on the small claims court process.
