College Credit/On-Line Classes
The California Community Colleges are the primary training institutes for those individuals who work with children ages 0-5. Some 4 year colleges also offer Child Development programs.
STAR participants are required to be engaging in on-going professional development, leading towards an A.A. or B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education. The local community colleges offer many ECE and general education classes. There is also a wide range of on-line classes available from other California colleges.
