Robert W. Geis, CPA, began his
service with the County of Santa Barbara in 1979 as an auditor in the Internal Audit
Division of the Auditor-Controller's Office. He's also served as the business manager for Public Works
and as the Assistant Treasurer-Tax Collector for the County of Santa Barbara before being elected
Auditor-Controller in November of 1990 and took office in January 1991.
Bob is a graduate of Ohio State University, a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Public Finance Officer.

Assistant Auditor-Controller

|
Theo Fallati, CPA, came to
the County in 1992 after an extensive career in public accounting and in private industry. Prior to becoming
Assistant Auditor-Controller, Theo held the positions of Chief Deputy Controller and Division Manager of
Financial Reporting, Budget and Cost. Theo is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, a Certified Public
Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Public Finance Officer.

Julie Hagen, CPA, came to the County in 1997
after a career in public accounting and private industry. Prior to becoming the Chief Deputy Controller, Julie held the positions of
Accounting Operations Division Manager, Payroll Division Manager and Projects/Systems Development Manager. Julie is a graduate of Cal
Poly San Luis Obispo and is a certified public accountant.

Heather Harkless, CPA, a graduate of the University of Florida
with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, joined the county in 2006 as our FACS Division Chief. Heather has extensive auditing and governmental
accounting experience and was an audit manager at a large public accounting firm. Her most recent position was Accounting Supervisor with a school
district in Sarasota, Florida. She holds a CPA certification from the State of Florida and is also pursuing her Masters in Business Administration
with Florida Atlantic University.

Mike Struven graduated
from CalState with a degree in Accounting. He has been with the Auditor's Office since 1989. Mike has
several significant achievements in recent years including the development of the County's cost plan,
salary modeling, as well as contributing to the budget system. Mike combines leadership skill with an
outstanding technical ability.

Jennifer Christensen,
JD, MBA, joined
the County of Santa Barbara in 2001 as a municipal finance attorney with
the Office of County Counsel. She holds a JD/MBA from the University of
Southern California School of Law and Marshall School of Business.
Jennifer’s professional background includes Big 4 CPA firm experience
with KPMG’s Exempt Organizations Tax Practice
and management experience as the Assistant Director for
the County’s Housing and Community Development Department |

Financial Systems Division Chief

|
Amy Herron, CPA,
a graduate of UCSB, joined the
Auditor-Controller’s Office in 1997. She started in the Internal Audit
Division as an Accountant-Auditor where she performed accounting and
auditing work. She then spent time in both the Property Tax and the
Projects Divisions, doing various accounting, process improvement, and
system development projects as a Financial Systems Analyst. She has
worked as a programmer on various enterprise-level systems, including
both the payroll and the general ledger accounting systems for the
office. In 2007, she became the Financial Systems Division Chief. She
has facilitated classes for the Employees’ University, and holds a
Certified Public Finance Officer designation from the Government Finance
Officers Association. |

Financial Accounting & Customer Support Division Chief

|
Conrad Tedeschi, CPA, began service with the County of Santa Barbara
in 1996 in the Auditor-Controller’s Office as an accountant-auditor in the New Auditor Development and Trainee (NADT) program. After spending three years
in Internal Audit Division he was rotated into the Specialty Accounting Division and then became a Financial Systems Analyst and worked in the Contracts
and Payroll Divisions. Conrad then spent three and a half years with the Santa Barbara County Education Office before returning to the Auditor-Controller’s
Office as the FACS Division Chief. Conrad is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Certified Public Accountant.

Specialty Accounting Division Chief

|
Juan Izquierdo, CPA, originally joined the Auditor-Controller’s Office
in 1999 as one of the Auditor Development and Trainee (NADT) participants. Prior to joining the County, Juan was the accounting manager for a local
construction company. Additionally, Juan worked as a staff auditor for an audit firm that had multiple nation wide locations Juan is a Certified Public
Accountant and a graduate of UCSB.

|
Mark Paul, CPA, joined the Auditor-Controller’s Office in 2003
with fourteen years in government finance functions. He is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University with Bachelor of Science Degree
in Accounting and Finance. He holds a CPA certification from the state of Missouri as well as a Certified Public Finance Officer designation
from the Government Finance Officers Association.

Property Tax Division Chief

|
Ed Price, CPA, joined the
County in 1999 with 14 years experience in the banking and financial services industry in the domains of
audit, management and technology. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a BS in Technology
Management/Accounting. Ed holds the Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor and
Certified Information Systems Auditor designations.

Ralph Remick, MBA,
joined the County in
1976 after serving as the manager of Data Processing for the City of
Santa Barbara. For the past 18 years he has been the Financial Systems
Division Chief, and now is the Payroll Division Chief. Ralph combines
over 30 years of information systems experience with knowledge of
accounting and payroll. He has a BS degree in accounting and an MBA in
management from Golden Gate University. He
has participated directly in the implementation of 4 major payroll
systems and has developed and implemented many other automated systems. |
