scheduled volunteer days at the Preserve for both trail and habitat
restoration work.

is seeking volunteer docents
Arroyo Hondo Preserve is having a docent training class beginning
Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, from 1:30-4:30. There will be 8 sessions
during the following weeks. If you or anyone you know might be
interested please contact Jane Murray, 684-4405, volunteer@sblandtrust.org.
We will be studying the natural and cultural history of the preserve
in preparation for giving tours to schools and community groups.
Each docent usually tours 1-2 times/month as their schedule permits.

for long weekends of work on Santa Cruz Island to help pull out
weedy trees and vines. Volunteers stay at either the UC Reserve
or at Christy Ranch. While these are working weekends, some free
