Requests for Permit / Pesticide Use Data are handled by this office in a number of ways. If you are looking to obtain all the data for a particular year, or the most current year-to-date data, you'll find the data ready for download in a .ZIP file. You can download these files by right-clicking and selecting "Save Target As...", then select a location in your computer to store the file until you're ready for the next step . The next step will be to "unzip" or uncompress the file. In Windows XP can open zip files by right-clicking and selecting "extract all" from the right-click menu. If you have another version of Windows, you can download the industry standard WinZip shareware program & instructions here. After uncompressing or unzipping, you'll have a .CSV file, which is a text file ready to be imported into a database like Microsoft Access, and you can do it by following these instructions. Click here for helpful information about the files you will receive.

If you need a custom data set or have a request for additional data, please make an appointment with a biologist by contacting our Santa Barbara office at 805-681-5600 or our Santa Maria office at 805-934-6200. Depending on the complexity and time involved in fulfilling your request, a standard biologist hourly rate and / or materials costs may be charged. You can download a Data Request Form here that you can bring with you or FAX in advanced to: Santa Barbara Office 805-681-5603 - or - Santa Maria Office 805-934-6202.

  The following downloadable files
are cummulative by quarter, so the current year will have all the data we have up to the last quarter. Files are in .zip format to keep download times low. Windows XP can open zip files by right-clicking and selecting "extract all" from the right-click menu. If you have another version of Windows, you can download the industry standard WinZip shareware program & instructions here. If you need help importing a .CSV or text file into Access or a database application, you can find basic instructions here.
