The female decedent who was located yesterday morning, March 27, 2018, on the beach near the Seal Rookery in Carpinteria has been identified as being 37-year-old Anita Rebecca Ruiz of Santa Barbara. Next of kin has been notified.

A Santa Ynez woman is in custody at the Santa Barbara County Jail after she used her vehicle as a weapon in an assault on one of her neighbors.
