A number of Divisions from the Public Works Department are participating in Green Team Projects including the Solid Waste and Utilities Division, the Transportation Division, and the Water Resources Division. Green Team Activities:

• Assessment of County purchasing practices and development of a policy to strengthen environmentally preferable product purchasing program.
• Waste audit of select County facilities.
• Development and promotion of recycling program.
• Identification of opportunities for decreased pesticide use.
